WHAT OUR ACCOMMODATION GUESTS HAVE SAID ABOUT THE DARLO ...
"Quick central accommodation at the last minute- great place! Alyssa M (TripAdvisor)
I needed to stay overnight in Sydney on short notice, and booked the Darlo Bar tentatively two days out- it was cheaper than everything else around it, and to be honest, I didn't like the name. But what a great place it is to stay! The quieter end of Liverpool street, it has a genuinely laidback, old school Sydney vibe, the staff are actually cool, having completely escaped the grating, hard-edged hipster vibe most inner-city hangouts are stocked with- come to that, the whole place seems to have escaped the worst of the surrounding gentrification. Great room too (shared bathrooms, no problem).”
“Great location, friendly staff and service! Shaila (Expedia)
Pros: Everything! The staff And service was awesome, location is great. I was very comfortable staying there.
Cons: If anything it would be awesome if the price of accomodation was a bit lower. $99 a night is a bit excessive I think.
Location: Kings cross station is very close so you basically can do anything if you get an opal card, yummy gelato bar just around the corner too.
I stayed at Darlo bar for 9 days. I had an absolute ball of a time, the drinks are nice and you can order food from local restaurants which I think is a great idea, the staff are so easy to get along with and were very helpful. The shared bathroom was fine there was never a wait and they were clean. Surprisingly you couldn't hear any of the noise from the pub down stairs, which I thought was awesome. The room was perfect because we didn't spend a lot of time there but it was air conditioned, bed was comfy and had a bar fridge. The atmosphere was awesome and it is located just about 5-10 minute walk to kings cross station so it was very easy to get around the city.”
“Convenient and surprisingly cozy Anonymous (Hotels.com)
This place is just perfect for someone accompanying a patient to the nearby hospital. Rooms are clean, fresh and unpretentious. Great towels! As everywhere in Australia, window makers have a great deal to learn on insulation and you have to put your shoes on when visiting the (newly renovated, shared) bathrooms. But the service is efficient, discreet and friendly. I will be back.”
“Delightful darlo Catherine (Booking.com)
